Arden University extends the application deadline
West London students who might otherwise miss out on university this year can breathe a sigh of relief. The deadline to apply for new lower-cost undergraduate degree courses based in Ealing has been extended until Friday 7th October.
With around half of 18-year-olds applying for university not getting a place every year, Arden University is extending the deadline to apply for university courses at its Ealing Green study centre. Final places are available on degrees courses covering business, computing, healthcare and law – unlike other universities and the end of the UCAS process for new applicants this year.
Luke Paramasivam, admissions director at Arden University, said the career-focussed courses were designed to be flexible to fit around people’s lives and cost up to a third less than traditional degrees, with a range of funding options available.
‘Getting a university place can be difficult and stressful, especially if you’re worried about having to wait another year before starting a degree. We’ve pushed the deadline to apply for degrees based at the Ealing Green campus, which is just a 10-minute walk from Ealing Broadway, to Friday 7th October,’ said Mr Paramasivam.
‘Our blended learning degrees are a real alternative to the traditional way to get a degree and we have designed them to be as flexible and cost-effective as possible. You get two days in a classroom a week with academics and fellow students along with access to all the technology you need, café and leisure facilities plus fully supported online learning.’
The Arden University admissions director added: ‘Blended learning degrees could cost you up to a third less. It means you can avoid that big additional price tag of having to move away and live somewhere to go to university full time. You can also continue your career and still earn while learning.
‘If you’re not sure that you qualify for university study, Arden University also offers a foundation year to help people who may not have studied for some time or feel they didn’t do well in previous academic study get undergraduate degrees. A foundation year is part of a full degree completed over four years.’
