PROGRAMMES TO BE OFFERED ON REGULAR BASIS

MBA(ACCOUNTING) AND MBA(FINANCE)

Applicants must meet any of the following entry requirements:

  1. hold a second class honours degree, or its equivalent, in finance, accounting, economics, and other business related subjects.  Applications may also be considered from graduates in non-business areas with strong quantitative backgrounds.
  2. be a professionally qualified accountant and a member of one of the Accountancy bodies constituting the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
  3. have at least one year’s relevant experience in the private or public sector
  4. pass a selection interview.

MBA (MARKETING) AND MBA(HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ANDORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR)

Applicants must meet any of the following entry requirements:

  1. possess a Bachelors degree with at least a 2nd class lower division pass in any field of study from a recognised institution.
  2. pass a selection interview
  3. in exceptional cases, applicants with 3rd class division passes who are already employed in HR-related fields and demonstrate capacity to cope with the programme may be considered for admission.  Such applicants must write and pass a selection examination and an interview.

 

  1. MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY (M. PHIL.) IN TECHNOLOGY

A candidate must meet the following requirements for admission:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, or Technical, or any Engineering / Building discipline with at least a 2nd class division pass. Applicants without education studies shall be required to take some additional courses in education studies at the undergraduate level..
  • Submit a statement of purpose or research interest.
  1. MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY (MTECH)

A candidate must meet the following requirements for admission:

  1. A good Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Technical, Vocational Education or Engineering
  2. Submit a statement of research interest.
  • DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
  1. Unless otherwise stated, Master of Philosophy Degree Programmes (Full Time) are of two (2) calendar years’ duration.
  2. M Ed, M A and Post Graduate Diploma Programmes are organized in two sessions during long vacations (June-August) and each session lasts for eight (8) weeks.
  3. MBA programmes are run on part time basis (in the evenings) and are of two calendar years’ duration
  4. M. Ed. in Mentorship programme lasts for one calendar year (July to June).

In exception of Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies (twelve calendar months: fulltime) and M. Ed. in Mentorship (one year in the distance learning mode), all M A, M. Ed and Post Graduate Diploma programmes are sandwich programmes.

  1.  Ph. D. Programmes (fulltime), last for a minimum of three years.

  1. Local Applicants – GH¢250.00
  2. Foreign Applicants and Ghanaian Applicants outside Ghana can purchase the set of Application forms for US $100 (One Hundred United States Dollars).

6.0  ENCLOSURES

In all cases, the following should be scanned and attached to the form online:

Applicants should note that:

No application will be processed unless all requirements are fully met.

  1. Photocopies of documents attached to the application forms must be certified.
  2. All enclosuresare not returnable.
  3. Any change of address must be communicated at once to the Dean, School of Graduate Studies.
  4. A change of programme after submission of application forms will NOT be allowed.
  5. ALL certificates and results slips other than those from the West African Examinations Council, the Universities in Ghana and Institutions accredited by the National Accreditation Board, should be cleared with the Accreditation Board and the evaluation report attached to the certificate(s).
