Alabama A&M Engineering
College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences
Welcome to the website for the College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences at Alabama A&M University. We envision our college as a central location for knowledge and discovery for our students, our faculty, and for the community.
The College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences is organized into four departments, each headed by a department chair:
• Civil and Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
• Engineering, Construction Management and Industrial Technology
• Physics, Chemistry and Math
The BS degree in Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, the BS degrees in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, and the BS degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
The Technology Department offers a variety of undergraduate degrees in its four programs, including construction management, graphics communications with an imaging technology concentration, graphics communication and printing production, industrial safety management, mechanical drafting design, manufacturing quality management, and technical or technology education. The department offers a minor in computer science.
Undergraduate degrees are offered in civil engineering (BSCE), electrical engineering (BSEE), mechanical engineering (BSME), engineering technology (BSET), industrial technology (BSIT), construction management (BS), computer science (BSCS).
The physics, chemistry and mathematics department offers degrees in the named areas respectively.
Graduate degrees are offered in computer science (MS), construction management (MS), materiel engineering (MEng) and industrial technology (MS), and physics (MS and Ph.D.).
In collaboration with the College of Education, the College of Engineering, Technology and Physical Sciences offers a variety of certified and non-certified teaching programs and the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The theme this year is ‘ELEVATION’. By this we mean to raise operation level,
the performance, the profile, and the expectations of the college as a whole as well as the individuals who make it up.
We see the College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences as a shining light in our community for the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Join with us as we grow together.
