Alabama A&M Business Management & Administration (Concentrations: General M.B.A., Agribusiness, and Logistics)
The MBA Program is an integral part of the College of Business and Public Affairs, whose mission is to provide a high quality management education that promotes the development of student’s potential as managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders, as well as productive employees and socially-responsible individuals. The objectives include:
To help graduates realize their career and leadership potentials.
To prepare graduates for leadership in a business and social environment.
To prepare graduates to fulfill their responsibilities to their companies, their local communities, and the global community.
To prepare graduates for doctoral programs.
Applicants for regular admission to the MBA program must meet all the requirements for admission to the Graduate School as well as the following:
1. Minimum GPA of 2.50 based on a 4.00 system.
2. Submit academic records.
3. Submit three letters of recommendation, each with appropriate signatures.
4. Submit a resume.
5. Submit a 200-250 word essay (statement of purpose)
6. GMAT score of at least 350 or GRE score of 146 verbal and 140 quantitative minimum
A waiver of the GMAT/GRE requirement will be considered if the candidate can verify a minimum of ten years of mid- to upper-level management experience.
Applicants should have their completed application form, along with official copies of their GMAT/GRE scores and official academic transcripts sent directly to the Dean of Graduate Studies.
Those granted conditional admission, however, will attain full admission status earning a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in their first nine credit hours in courses recommended by MBA Director in order to continue in the program.
