Webster Earns Second Straight All-Region Nod
HUNTSVILLE | The 2017 D2CCA Men’s Basketball All-South Region Teams have been announced, and for the second straight season, UAH’s Seab Webster has earned First Team status.
Voting for the teams was conducted by the region’s sports information directors.
Webster has turned in a tremendous senior campaign, averaging 18.8 points per game while also grabbing 8.1 rebounds per contest. The Gurley native has shot 45.8 percent overall while knocking down 3-pointers at a 41.7 percent clip, and he shoots 41.7 percent at the charity stripe.
Among Gulf South Conference players, Webster ranks fifth in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding, while he is third in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage and 3-pointers per game. Additionally, he is the fifth-best free throw shooter in the GSC.
During his time in Huntsville he has amassed 1,872 points which ranks fourth all-time in UAH history, and his 726 rebounds represent the third-best total in the program’s record book.
Webster and his teammates will be back in action on Tuesday night when the team hosts Rollins in the 2017 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball South Regional.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at Spragins Hall, and tickets are available for $15 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under.
