Clinical Assistant Professor of Management Science

ABOUT THE POSITION: The College of Business at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a full-time, renewable non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in Management Science. We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on a diverse and intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Management Science and Business Analytics. Participate actively in the profession, university service, and outreach to the region’s businesses, governments, and the community at large.

Qualifications: A candidate must have a Ph.D. in Management Science or a closely related discipline. A PhD from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred. Candidates must have and maintain scholarly or professional activities sufficient to be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Science and Business Analytics as needed by the college, and have a commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is preferred.

Lecturer of Management

Lecturer (or Clinical Assistant Professor) of Accounting

ABOUT THE POSITION: The College of Business at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a full-time, renewable non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer, or Clinical Assistant Professor, of Accounting. We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on an intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in financial accounting, governmental accounting, and/or tax. Participate actively in the profession, university service and outreach to businesses, governments, and the community at large.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Accounting or a terminal degree in a related field (e.g., J.D.) with an emphasis on tax or a similar field. A Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred. Candidates must have and maintain scholarly or professional activities sufficient to be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of specialization. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is preferred. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.), business experience, and a willingness to interact with local accounting professionals are pluses. ABD may be considered. If all requirements for the Ph.D. have not been completed by August 1, 2017, appointment will be at the rank of Clinical Instructor at a lower salary.
