The nationally ranked UAB Department of Occupational Therapy offers innovative graduate programs for students interested in becoming occupational therapists or those seeking to advance existing occupational therapy careers.

The UAB OT program is 25th in the nation as ranked by U.S. News and World Report in the most recent “Best Graduate Schools” edition and 22nd in the country in’s “Top Occupational Therapy Schools according to Student Reviews.”

Building on UAB’s solid foundation and reputation, we are transitioning our Post-Professional program from an MSOT to a Post-Professional Clinical Doctorate Degree (OTD). This unique and innovative program, which will be delivered online and include a track focused on Low Vision Rehabilitation, will be soliciting applications in due course.

We are fully accredited by ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education).

We know you are ready. You know you are ready. So what are you waiting for?

Our BS in HCM to MSOT Fast Track program allows you to work simultaneously on a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. That’s right – earn your B.S. & M.S. in only five years.

You will earn two distinct skills to set you apart from everyone else. You will learn how to manage healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, etc.) with your undergraduate degree and then, upon earning your graduate degree, you will become eligible to sit for the occupational therapist certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Feel like you can perform at the graduate level while an undergraduate? Want to make an actual difference on individual lives? Then the B.S. & M.S. Fast Track program is for you.

Both programs – Health Care Management and Occupational Therapy – will work together to grant admission to qualified freshmen, who submit competitive applications, into this fast track program. Fast forward your life and your career – contact us about applying today.
